1. Who we are

WaConnectHub provides an AI customer support widget for businesses. This policy explains what data we process, both for our direct customers (account holders) and for end users who interact with the chat widget on our customers' websites.

2. Data we collect from customers

When you create an account: name, email address, company name, and password (stored hashed). When you subscribe: billing is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details. We also store the documentation you upload to power your assistant.

3. Data we process from widget visitors

When an end user chats with the widget on a customer's website, we process: the messages they write, a randomly generated visitor identifier stored in their browser, the page URL where the chat started, and their browser language. If the visitor chooses to leave an email address for follow-up, we store it. We process this data on behalf of our customer, who is the data controller for their visitors' conversations.

4. AI processing

To generate answers, visitor messages and relevant excerpts from the customer's documentation are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. These requests are used to generate the response and are subject to the provider's API data policies; they are not used to train the provider's models per their API terms.

5. How we use data

We use data to operate the service (answering questions, escalating to humans, dashboards), to bill subscriptions, to prevent abuse, and to improve answer quality for the relevant customer (e.g. collecting unanswered questions). We do not sell personal data, and we do not use one customer's data for another customer.

6. Cookies & local storage

Our website uses essential session cookies for authentication. The chat widget stores a random visitor identifier in the browser's local storage so a conversation can continue across pages. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. Data retention & deletion

Account data is kept while your account is active. Conversations and documentation are deleted when you delete them or when your account is terminated. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@waconnecthub.com.

8. Sub-processors

We rely on the following service providers: our hosting provider (infrastructure), Stripe (payments), and OpenAI (AI processing). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR), you may have rights of access, rectification, deletion, portability and objection. End users of our customers' websites should direct requests to the business whose website they used; we will assist our customers in fulfilling them.
